Happy Friday everyone!   I'm linking up with Doodle bugs for this Five for Friday!

[Divider-15.png] My new blog design is up and running!  I am so excited.I love the bright colors and the stars popping out of the header - need I say more?  Thank you to Design Infusions for the AWESOME job!!

Divider 2My husband and I are also coming up on our 8th wedding anniversary!  The theme for that year is linen so I got this lovely piece of linen --
A little backstory - I've owned this exact purse for over 4 years (and faithfully carried it every single day!).  The stitching on the right side was actually starting to unravel which meant I was going to have to retire it.  Ebay to the rescue!  20.00 later and I have almost a brand new version of my fave!  Or maybe.  My daughter might be taking it as her own.......

Divider 3It was fruit and vegetable week for my preschooler!  How adorable is this for some fine motor skill work?

 Divider 4Apple picking field trip was on Thursday as well!  She was sooo stinking hot, but she loved the adventure!

Five for Friday!

Hello SUMMER!  This past week has been (technically) my last week of freedom.. so here's a glance at what I've been up to! (I dwindled it down to 3.. give a girl a break. :))

I love music.  I love a great beat, a sad story, you name it.  I have been addicted to "Human" by Christina Perry.  It's so true -- we're only human and we're allowed to make mistakes, we're allowed to pick ourselves up, and we're allowed to just.. well..  be human!
Here's the official video if you're interested.

Speaking of summer.  ICE CREAM.  Mmm.  I've been busy with the Clip Art business and created my own set of swirly goodness.

(On a totally different note!..) Every month I assess our family budget to see where things need to change.  Gas prices just hiked a TON because of a tornado down south, so I know our gas spending will be a bit higher than average.  Anyway, I found this great site for those struggling with debt: http://unbury.us/  (great url, huh?).  Essentially, you type in your debts and can choose from one of two ways to see your way out of debt (with a timeline included!)  It's a great tool to keep yourself motivated.

 Yippe!  It's FRIDAY!  Y'know what that means?

My first Five for Friday!

Let's get started.

{1}

 I have been pouring over the Olympics the past week and a half.  My COUSIN was actually in them!  He was in the competition with Sage Kotsenburg on the very first day.  While he didn't make the podium, it's still a great story to tell..  How Awesome!

{2}
This weekend I hope to embark on the arduous task of potty training my 2 year old daughter.  Wish me luck!  I've got the pull-ups, the potty, now all I need are some big girl underwear...

{3}

 In the midwest this week we had two days where the temperature was over 60!  I spent that time cleaning up the house a bit and opening the windows for the smell of that sweet sweet February air.  Mmm.  Back to 20F tonight, you say?...Better get the sweater ready.

{4} Gearing up for a long week next week -- My job pickings were so slim this week plus I had a stomach bug for the tail end of it which kept me out of a few jobs.  Here's hoping!

{5}
And finally, the husband and I got to spend some quality time together.  We've been so busy and wrapped up in our own things it's nice to settle in and have a quiet conversation together.  It's the little things, right?

Keep smiling, and have an awesome week!
